Software Feedback

Feedback is important for developers and most accept feedback either through phone, email or features built into the software that allows a user to submit their thoughts on existing features in the software or how they might be improved. My most recent run in with this was in Quickbooks Point of Sale; the physical inventory count specifically. After using one of the approved mobile devices to collect data on inventory, you can sync it up with the database in Quickbooks POS to add stock to the current inventory count. Is This Broken?

Sometimes devices seem like they just don't want to work. You might have a scanner this is supposed to be plug and play, printers that wont print, and drawers that wont open. But a lot of these problems can be caused by issues other than the product being broken or defective. The most common issues I've run into are caused by communication problems; driver settings, device configuration and loose or disconnected cables. These can usually be resolved by checking to make sure drivers are installed correctly, cables are plugged into the proper place securely, and possibly resetting the device. If...

USB barcode scanner are usually plug and play out of the box, but sometimes they require additional configuration or troubleshooting. The most common issue that people seem to run into is that the barcode they're scanning is a symbology, or language of barcode, that wasn't enabled by default of the scanner.
