Hi this is Travis with POSGuys today we're taking a look at the Epson OmniLink receipt printer or comprinter. It's actually a 88V receipt printer built into a computer so it's a different take on the all-in-one. Instead of being an all-in-one monitor computer combination it's a receipt printer computer combination. A new product to the market, something very unique and unlike anything else out there.
Demonstrating normal printer capabilities we're just going to run a transaction here in Cash Register Express. It's running on the printer. We'll add a couple items o the order, hit okay and we'll print the receipt. It's got great speed just like a TM-T88V, standard formatting. Taking a look at the ports on the Epson OmniLink. Here is your Ethernet port. This is your VGA video port. Audio six USB ports you can see the dongle for the keyboard and mouse is plugged in here power is tucked up at the top one serial port if you have an older serial pole display and your cash drawer for connecting to the cash drawer is there as well. Pretty much the standard set up you need for point of sale.
For a size comparison of the original 88V with the 88V OmniLink here is your regular 88V and here it is right next to each other. So you can see the computer doesn't take up much room at all. Basically just raises it up eh two to four inches or something like that and then no increase on the width. The height is the only thing that is different, size wise it is all just about the same. This is the Epson OmniLink 88V printer computer combination. It's a different take on the all-in-one, it will still save you a lot of space. If you have existing peripherals that you're just going to upgrade from an older tower setup it is something to consider. It will save you a lot of space but you can use your existing peripherals and your existing monitor. It's a little different than an all-in-one computer monitor option but saves you just as much space as that so its something to consider.
