Serial Cables and Power Backup
A Serial cable is a cable that can be used to transfer information between two devices using serial communication. They are similar in appearance to Parallel cables but transmit data in a single stream rather then along multiple channels. Some examples of Serial cable ends include DB-25 (25 connector pins), DB-9 (9 connector pins), and Centronics 36 (36 connector pins).
* Serial Reviews
Although the cable ends of Parallel and Serial cables have the same names and may look the same externally, they are not interchangeable when connecting hardware. Feel free to call POSGuys for help selecting the right cable for your needs.
