Why is the CipherLab 8001 not connecting to my PC?

Answer

With the CipherLab 8001 series scanner, you will need to make sure the thicker USB cable is plugged into the PC, and that the thinner USB cable is plugged into the power adapter for the wall outlet.

**NOTE**: Surge Protectors and Battery Backups may cause consistency issues with power, and cause the device to not transmit data to the PC properly. We recommend plugging into a dedicated surge protector or wall outlet to maximize power.
