Re-stick paper is a continuous roll of paper with a sticky back either in a pattern across the entire paper or in a strip on the back of the paper. This is useful for a temporary label like marking a coffee cup for a drink order or a temporary packing slip on a box. The auto-cutter on the printer or a tear bar cuts the height down to size, the width is static.

Die-Cut labels are labels cut into a rounded rectangle shape and put onto a slick liner. These labels have a more aesthetically pleasing shape and are more permanent than a re-stick label. The labels are in pre-determined sizes.

For either printer you will want to confirm compatibility with your software/app provider. Not all software is compatible with label or re-stick printers or can only print on very specific sized labels or sticky paper width.
