Budget can be brilliant, too
The Zebra ZT111 is an entry-level industrial printer for operations that have outgrown desktop printing but still need to control capital cost. It delivers the core speed, durability, processing power and management tools needed for everyday industrial labeling without requiring buyers to pay for capabilities they do not yet need.
Fast printing, built-in intelligence and field-installable upgrades help the ZT111 remain useful as workloads change. Direct thermal and thermal transfer configurations support current media requirements, while optional 300 dpi, wireless connectivity and media handling let the platform expand later.
Explore the Zebra ZT111 industrial printer.

The Budget Printer that Delivers More
Greater Functionality at a Fraction of the Cost
Zebra includes software tools for integration, setup, operation and visibility rather than making every capability a separate purchase. Built-in security settings and supplies-usage visibility give teams more control over the printer without moving to a higher-tier platform.
Save Time and Effort for IT
Backward compatibility and Printer Emulations help the ZT111 replace other printer brands without requiring every label format or application to be rewritten. A three-button interface and five color status icons reduce training time by giving operators a simple, consistent way to see printer state and respond.
The Budget Printer that Delivers More
Print More for Longer
A metal frame, plastic enclosure and thin-film printhead with Zebra's E3 Element Energy Equalizer provide the core construction expected from an industrial printer. The side-loading supplies path and clear viewing window support routine use while protecting the print mechanism inside.
Maximize Your Workspace
The closed printer measures 17 inches long by 9.5 inches wide by 11 inches high and weighs 17 pounds. Its bi-fold media door reduces the vertical clearance needed to open the printer, making industrial capacity easier to place in constrained work areas.
The Right Capabilities to Move Business Forward
Innovative Processing to Power Future Printing
An all-new architecture lets the ZT111 process more jobs concurrently and provides room to evolve with advancing technology. The design is intended to make the entry-level purchase useful now without closing off future capabilities.
Onboard analytics and printhead element-out detection give operators earlier visibility into maintenance needs. Tool-less platen and printhead removal makes replacement more direct when service is required, reducing the complexity of routine maintenance.
The Right Capabilities to Move Business Forward
The Key Features You Want
The standard 203 dpi model prints up to 10 inches per second for throughput-focused applications. The optional 300 dpi configuration prints up to 6 inches per second and is better suited to small text, dense barcodes and finer graphics; the selected resolution is a printer configuration, not a software switch.
Color-coded touch points and a side-loading path guide operators through media and ribbon changes. Adjustable transmissive and reflective sensors support continuous, die-cut, notched and black-mark media, while a large ribbon and media capacity reduces the frequency of supply changes.
The Right Capabilities to Move Business Forward
Connect Your Way
USB 2.0, RS-232 serial, 10/100 Ethernet and USB Host are standard, along with Bluetooth Low Energy. The Print Touch NFC tag provides a convenient tap point for compatible mobile-device workflows, helping teams connect without adding another visible control panel.
An optional 802.11ac Wi-Fi card supports wireless placement, and a second 10/100 Ethernet option is available for organizations that need another wired interface. These connectivity options are configuration-dependent and should be selected to match the deployment.
The Right Capabilities to Move Business Forward
Futureproof Your Investment
Organizations new to industrial printing can begin with the core platform instead of absorbing every upgrade in the initial purchase. Field-installable wireless and media-handling options allow the printer to change with the workflow rather than forcing a full replacement.
A front-mount passive peeler and a guillotine cutter support different label-presentation requirements after deployment. The optional ZKDU keyboard display unit supports stand-alone printing, while optional ZBI 2.0 can run applications and connect peripherals.
Built-in Security to Protect Your Data and Infrastructure
Smart Settings to Prevent Tampering
Secure Boot helps protect the ZT111 as it starts, and Protected Mode limits unwanted changes to printer settings while the device is in use. Zebra Secure Service Commands, part of PrintSecure, help reduce the risk posed by unauthorized command activity on a networked printer.
When a printer is moved, reassigned or retired, Simplified Printer Decommissioning can reset user settings and remove user files. This gives IT a defined way to prepare the device for its next lifecycle stage instead of leaving configuration or stored data behind.

Specifications
Print DNA™ Basic Software
Print DNA Basic provides software capabilities for getting the printer running quickly, delivering a dependable print experience and supporting future needs. ZebraDesigner Essentials is included as a no-cost label design tool; some Print DNA features can vary by model or require a license.
Firmware
ZPL and ZPL II provide Zebra formatting and control, while EPL and EPL2 support legacy-format compatibility; EPL is available only on 203 dpi models. The ZT111 supports major linear and 2D symbologies, including Code 128, UPC, EAN, Data Matrix, PDF417 and QR Code, plus user-defined fonts and graphics.
Specifications
Media Characteristics
The printer accepts media from 0.75 to 4.50 inches wide and up to 0.010 inch thick. It holds an 8-inch roll on a 3-inch core or a 6-inch roll on a 1-inch core.
Ribbon Characteristics (Thermal-transfer option only)
Thermal transfer models support 450-meter ribbon from 2 to 4.33 inches wide. Minimum label length varies by handling mode: 0.7 inch in tear mode, 1 inch in cutter mode and 0.5 inch in peel mode. Zebra recommends qualifying the intended media, ribbon, resolution and speed combination because real-world registration and performance depend on the complete application.
