DataLogic QuickScan 2330 Laser Reviews
Feb 2017 - The QuickScan Laser barcode scanner's more precise beam ensures greater accuracy than the QuickScan Imager. The tradeoff, however, is a diminished range and scanning speed, but the scanner should still be more than adequate for medium volume retail environments.

Customer Reviews
Hi, this is Jamie from POSGuys.com reviewing the DataLogic QuickScan Series. The first one is the QuickScan Imager it has a very aggressive scan engine, it's pretty light-weight and ergonomic. It scans from [beeping and clicking] like an inch away to a little over a foot. It's got a very good scan engine and a very good scan range. Um, it can scan faded and damaged barcodes pretty consistently and also can scan under bright lights or in outdoor settings. One downfall to this scanner is that to get it into auto-sense mode you have to [double-beep] scan a barcode first. Place it in, and then once it's in [beeps], it's auto-sensing. Still very good once it's in auto-sensing mode. And when you take it out it still is in auto-sensing mode and to get it out you have to scan the barcode again just to get it back into its regular scan mode, which can kinda be tedious.
This is the cordless version of the QuickScan. It has a slightly less aggressive scan engine than the imager and it also doesn't have the green-dot technology, but it does have some other good features which, and one of them is that it only has one cord running to the base, and sometimes you see two cords and so that saves some room. And a really helpful feature is that when its out of the base [beeping and clicking] it's just a trigger-based scanner, and then once you put it back in, it automatically becomes auto-sensing [beeps], which can definitely save you some time.
For those of you that like the QuickScan but need the accuracy of a laser scanner, DataLogic also makes one of those. Um, it doesn't have the green-dot and it has a slightly less aggressive scan engine, and you also still need to scan the barcodes when you want to put it into auto-sensing mode, but it does have you know, the accuracy [beeps] that you would expect from a laser scanner.
All three of the scanners come in beige or black with the optional stand. Um, they have USB, serial, or PS/2 for the interfaces and the cables are interchangeable. Also has uh, there is a five-year warranty on both of the corded scanners and a three-year warranty on the cordless scanner.
