Check your hardware: what can you keep?
A CRE-to-Lightspeed move is not just a software swap. Old drivers, serial connections, aging PCs, payment terminals, label printers, and iPad or Bluetooth setups should be reviewed before you plan around them.
- What can you keep? Start with your computer or iPad, receipt printer, cash drawer, scanner, label printer, and payment terminal.
- Reuse risks: Your older hardware works just fine, but is it compatible?
- New gear opportunity: This is also a good time to upgrade to supported Lightspeed hardware that fits the way your store works now.
Need a POS Scanner Checkout Scale?
If you need scale support, reach out. Lightspeed does not natively support scales, but there are options.
- Check the model: Share your scanner scale model number so compatibility can be reviewed.
- Confirm the use case: Do you need the scale to weigh and print labels, or does it need to talk directly to your POS?
