Media & Calibration Guide This guide is to help you load your TabBand Labels, Calibrate your Labels and then Configure the Printer Driver Settings specifically for Windows users. Loading Your Labels

  1. Use the yellow slide latches on the sides of the printer to open it, then lift the cover.
  2. Spread open the media roll holders and place the label roll onto them. Release the holders to secure the roll in place.
  3. Verify that the sensor is in the default center position.
  4. Pull the labels forward so they extend out from the front of the printer.
  5. Slide the media under both guides, ensuring proper alignment.
  6. Close the printer lid.

Calibrating Your Labels

Your Zebra printer includes premium industry features, such as the Smart Calibration feature. To perform Smart Calibration:

  1. Hold down the Pause and Cancel buttons on your Zebra printer.
  2. The printer will advance several labels as it detects gaps and automatically adjusts for accurate positioning.
  3. Calibration is complete.

Printer Driver Settings

  • Open Devices and Printers. You can quickly access this by pasting Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers into a File Explorer window.
  • Right-click your printer driver and select Printer Properties, then Preferences:

  • Options Tab: In the Paper Format section, select inch, set orientation to landscape, and check rotate 180. Click Apply
  • Advanced Setup Tab: Set Operation Mode to Peel; Off, Media Type to Thermal Transfer, and Tracking Mode to Web Sensing. Click Apply
