Step 1: Clear the Print Spooler Manually
- Open File Explorer and go to:
C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers - Delete all files in this folder (admin access may be required).

services.msc, stop Print Spooler, delete the files, then start the service again. Step 2: Uninstall the Printer Driver
- Open Settings (Win + I) > Apps > Installed Apps (Win 11) or Programs and Features (Win 10).
- Search for your printer manufacturer’s name.
- Look for an uninstaller or the manufacturer’s utility and run it to remove the driver and related files.

Step 3: Reinstall the Latest Driver
- Download the latest driver from the printer manufacturer’s support website.
- Right‑click the installer and select Run as administrator.
- Follow the on‑screen prompts to complete installation.
Tip: Restart your computer after installation to ensure the driver loads correctly.

For POS‑X customers using Windows 11:
- Clear the spooler folder:
C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers and delete all contents. - Open Settings (Win + I) > Apps > Installed Apps (Win 11) or Programs and Features (Win 10).
- Search for POS‑X Thermal Printer Uninstallation and run it.
- Uncheck Reboot (not required).
- Install POS‑X Printer Driver 4.64 as an administrator.
