The Intuit QuickBooks Point Of Sale v12 has reached end of life. It has been replaced by the Intuit QuickBooks Point Of Sale 18.
This product replaces the older Intuit QuickBooks Point of Sale 2013 Basic.

- Is QuickBooks POS v12 EMV Ready?
Yes, although QuickBooks is offering a 6 month grace period for its users to upgrade to v12 and purchase a compatible chip reader.
From their website - "Through March 31, 2016, if a QuickBooks Payments customer unknowingly accepts a counterfeit EMV card in a card-present transaction using a magnetic stripe reader, Intuit will assume the customer’s liability for the fraud."
At this time, if you wish to be EMV compliant without integrating with your software, we suggestion purchasing a stand-alone EMV Ready payment terminal found here POSGuys Payment Terminals.
