FAQ# 1109: How do you stop the magnetic stripe info from printing on a Datacard Printer?

If you are using a Datacard ID Card printer and seeing the magnetic stripe info printing on the front of the card, check the diver version you are using. To check the driver version, use the following steps:

• Go to My Computer (or Computer)
• Click on Manage
• Click on Device Manager
• Click on Printers
• Double-click on the Datacard ID Card printer
• Select the Driver tab. You should see the current driver version installed on your computer.

The version 6 of the driver is known to have errors with printing the magnetic stripe. Switching to the version 5 of their printer drivers will fix it. Drivers are available on our website under downloads, or from the Datacard website.
