FAQ# 2340: How do I get my old POS-X EVO-TM2B Touch Monitor to work with Windows 10?

Question

How do I get my old POS-X EVO-TM2B Touch Monitor to work with Windows 10?

Answer

While there is no officially supported driver for Windows 10, there is a workaround that may work but is not guaranteed.

Note: If you've already installed a driver, please uninstalled it using Windows add/remove programs. This driver and workaround are for units with the serial number less than GM1500598.

Step1: USB Power Settings

  • Open the Windows Start Menu
  • Type Control Panel and open the Control Panel window
  • Select Power Options
  • On your selected power plan, click Change plan settings
  • Click Change advanced power settings
  • Expand the USB settings and then USB Selected Suspend Settings
  • Set the option to Disabled, then click Apply and OK
Step2: Startup Options
  • Return to the Power Options screen
  • At the top left, click Choose what the power buttons do
  • If needed, click the Change settings that are currently unavailable
  • Uncheck the Turn on fast startup (recommended)
  • Click Save Changes
Step3: Install Driver
