The Symbol DS3578 barcode scanner frees you to scan products wherever they are, fantastic for shipping/receiving or industrial inventory management. Available as a standard range or high density scanner, the DS3578 reads 1D and 2D barcodes incredibly quickly. A 624 MHz processor and fast sensor provides superior scanning performance, keeping up with fast-paced scanning environments.
Symbol's Bluetooth II v1.2 radio gives you up to 300 feet of line-of-sight wireless range to the communications cradle or bluetooth-equipped mobile device, eliminating the hassle of hauling inventory to a scanning station. Eliminating the cabling also reduces downtime from cable failures, a major concern in industrial locations.
Built to handle rough and extreme environments, the DS3578 is the ideal choice to maximize uptime at your business. The ruggedized design protects the barcode scanner from 6.5 foot drops to concrete, and the scratch-resistant exit window is recessed to prevent damage that could obscure scanned barcodes. To protect the internal components, Symbol sealed the DS3578 to IP65 standards, so no dust nor low pressure water jets can harm it. An operating temperature range from -4° to 120° F makes the Symbol DS3578 barcode scanner a smart solution for cold storage or outdoor inventory management alike.

Symbol DS3578 Reviews
Feb 2017 - This is the previous generation of warehouse scanners by Zebra (formerly Motorola). It is a very industrial scanner with good scan engine and good ergonomics. It has been replaced by the DS3678 which scans better, scans from further away, is more durable, and has a better battery. The older DS3578 still performs well but it is recommended that you go with the DS3608-SR if you want the most up to date technology.
