WS501 Mobile Computers
This product replaces the older Zebra WS50.
A compact all-in-one wearable computer for scan-intensive work
The Zebra WS501 combines enterprise mobile computing, 1D/2D barcode scanning and voice collaboration in a single wearable device. Workers can access applications and capture data without carrying a separate host computer.
Two-finger and back-of-hand wearing options keep the display and scanner close at hand, while a faster processor, more memory and modern wireless connectivity support multiple demanding applications.

The power to support all of your apps
More memory to support multiple apps
The integrated SE4770 imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes, including supported damaged or poorly printed codes and barcodes captured while the worker or item is moving. A wide field of view helps capture large codes, while Zebra Multi-Code and NG SimulScan features can capture multiple barcodes in one trigger pull and pass the required data to the application. That additional memory and storage support multiple demanding applications, richer workflows and longer software lifecycles in a small device.
Fastest and reliable Wi-Fi connections
Wi-Fi 6 and Zebra Wireless Fusion support reliable roaming and application performance on compatible enterprise networks. Bluetooth 5.3 connects approved headsets, printers and other peripherals without making a host computer part of the workflow. The next-generation platform provides three times the RAM and four times the Flash storage of the WS50.
Blazing Bluetooth peripheral performance
Wi-Fi 6 and Zebra Wireless Fusion support reliable roaming and application performance on compatible enterprise networks. Bluetooth 5.3 connects approved headsets, printers and other peripherals without making a host computer part of the workflow.
Maximum flexibility
True ‘no-host’ all-in-one wearable
The WS501 combines Android applications, enterprise barcode scanning and voice features in one compact wearable, eliminating the need to pair it with a separate mobile computer. Zebra positions it for picking, putaway, loading and other scan-intensive workflows where both hands need to remain available.
Choose your wearing style
Two-finger and back-of-hand mounts let organizations position the display and scanner for the motion pattern of the job. Mounting accessories can be changed without replacing the computer, making it easier to standardize on one platform across roles.
Push-to-talk (PTT) support for better collaboration
Two programmable buttons can be assigned to scanning, application actions or other common tasks. Integrated audio supports alerts and voice applications, and push-to-talk capability is planned for supported software beginning in the first quarter of 2026; availability requires the applicable application and license.
Built to last — with built-in investment protection
Compact but mighty with a built-in rugged design for a low TCO
IP65 sealing protects against dust and water jets, while the device is rated for 6 ft. drops and 2,000 1.6 ft. tumbles. The replaceable front shell helps keep the display and scan window serviceable after repeated contact.
All the key features of a full-size mobile computer
Advanced enterprise-class scanner for intense barcode scanning
The integrated SE4770 imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes, including supported damaged or poorly printed codes and barcodes captured while the worker or item is moving. A wide field of view helps capture large codes, while Zebra Multi-Code and NG SimulScan features can capture multiple barcodes in one trigger pull and pass the required data to the application. The rugged front shell protects the display and imager against daily contact and can be replaced when worn or damaged. This serviceable design can restore the most exposed surfaces without replacing the entire computer.
Advanced touchscreen display
The 2-inch AMOLED touchscreen provides sharp color and contrast for prompts, item images and status information. Zebra TruPalette can help optimize color presentation, while the display's low-power characteristics support an all-shift wearable design.
Save time with programmable buttons
Two programmable buttons can be assigned to scanning, application actions or other common tasks. Integrated audio supports alerts and voice applications, and push-to-talk capability is planned for supported software beginning in the first quarter of 2026; availability requires the applicable application and license.

Removable batteries for full-shift perpetual power
The 1,300 mAh PowerPrecision battery is designed for full-shift operation under Zebra's specified usage profile and exposes battery-health data to supported management tools. It can charge in under three hours with supported equipment, and hot swap preserves the active session while a depleted battery is replaced. Modular charging accessories can be configured for devices, spare batteries or mixed charging needs. Organizations can build charging stations around shift patterns instead of dedicating a separate charger arrangement to every worker.
Simplify backroom device and battery management

It can charge in under three hours with supported equipment, and hot swap preserves the active session while a depleted battery is replaced.
Drive workforce productivity and device value to a new level with powerful Zebra DNA tools
Easier integration into your environment
Zebra EMDK and DataWedge simplify application development and barcode data delivery, while Mx, StageNow, OEMConfig, Zero Touch and Enterprise Home Screen support controlled deployment. LifeGuard provides security updates, Diagnostics assists support teams, and Zebra DNA Cloud offers centralized administration for supported capabilities.
Increase device and data security
Zebra Device Guardian can help track device custody and locate missing equipment when appropriately licensed and configured. These tools are useful in warehousing, manufacturing, transportation and retail operations where wearables are handed between shifts.

Fit the wearable to high-velocity workflows
Picking, putaway and loading
The all-in-one form reduces the number of devices workers must carry while keeping instructions and confirmations visible at the hand. Warehouses and transportation operations can use it for item picking, sortation, putaway, loading verification and inventory movement.
Manufacturing and retail tasks
Manufacturers can present assembly, work-in-process and quality prompts while capturing component barcodes, and retailers can use the same platform for inventory and fulfillment. Exact applications, push-to-talk functions and Device Guardian services require the appropriate software and licenses.
