Long-Range RFID Performance
Count and locate inventory faster
The integrated Zebra RFID engine reads more than 900 tags per second at a nominal distance of up to 95 feet. Item Finder uses audible and visual feedback to guide a worker toward a specific tagged item, while the built-in antenna keeps the reader balanced and ready for one-handed use.
One device for RFID and barcodes
Workers can capture UHF RFID tags and 1D/2D barcodes without switching devices. The SE4770 handles standard-range work, while the SE4850 reaches labels from about three inches to as far as 70 feet for high racks, yards and loading areas.
Flexible Data Entry
Touch and keypad input together
Applications can use the full 4-inch touchscreen while workers retain physical keys for fast, familiar data entry. Choose 29-key numeric, 38-key function-numeric or 47-key alphanumeric layouts to match the workflow.
Capture more with fewer scans
Zebra data-capture tools can collect multiple barcodes on one or more labels with a single trigger press, reducing repetitive scanning and helping standardize receiving, picking and shipping tasks.
Enterprise Android Platform
Performance for demanding applications
The Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of Flash provide a stable platform for RFID, warehouse and line-of-business applications. The operating system is upgradeable through Android 14.
Wireless connections for the workday
Wi-Fi 5 supports enterprise wireless networks, Bluetooth 5.0 connects peripherals and headsets, and integrated NFC enables tap-to-pair and tap-to-authenticate workflows.
Power and Ruggedness
A 7,000 mAh battery is standard
The removable PowerPrecision+ battery is designed for long shifts and supports hot swapping with temporary Wi-Fi and Bluetooth session persistence. Battery health metrics help teams identify aging packs before they interrupt work.
Built for semi-industrial environments
IP54 sealing protects against dust and splashing liquid, while the housing is rated for repeated 5-foot drops and 1,000 tumbles. Gorilla Glass protects both the touch panel and imager window.
Ergonomics and Fleet Deployment
Lightweight, balanced handling
The streamlined gun-style design is made for one-handed use by right- or left-handed workers. High-visibility LEDs on both sides make status and task confirmation easier to see in noisy facilities.
A practical upgrade path
Many MC3200, MC3300 and MC3300R accessories remain compatible, and Zebra Mobility DNA tools can simplify staging, security and management. POSGuys can also pair the reader with TagMatiks Wedge for supported RFID-to-application workflows.
Common Applications
Warehouse and distribution
Use the MC3390xR for cycle counting, replenishment, receiving, shrink control, item locating, omnichannel fulfillment and cross-docking.
Manufacturing and transportation
The long RFID range and extended-range barcode option support work-in-process tracking, parts inventory, finished-goods control, yard operations and shipping.
