ZD411 Barcode Printers
This product replaces the older Zebra ZD410.
Elevate your expectations with advanced, compact printers, built for enduring performance
The Zebra ZD411 is a compact 2-inch desktop printer designed to deliver the features, flexibility and security needed for years of dependable label printing. Its new architecture adds processing capability in a footprint suited to counters, shelves and other space-constrained work areas.
Direct thermal and thermal transfer models let buyers match the print method to the application. Zebra DNA software, Link-OS and field-installable options simplify setup, operation, maintenance and future expansion without forcing a premature printer replacement.

It’s Time to Advance
Powerful Printing with Intuitive Operation
Choose direct thermal for ribbon-free labeling or thermal transfer when the application needs ribbon-based durability. The 203 dpi model prints up to 6 inches per second with a 2.2-inch maximum width, while the optional 300 dpi model prints up to 4 inches per second with a 2.13-inch maximum width.
The ZD411’s new processor and architecture support more simultaneous work and future applications. Five status icons and an advanced three-button interface show operators when media needs attention or a printer issue must be resolved.
Simple to Setup, Use and Manage Today
Ready to Evolve for Tomorrow
The printer setup mobile app connects over Bluetooth Low Energy on Android and iOS for configuration and light data transfer. Print Touch uses the built-in NFC tag to give compatible devices quick access to printer information and pairing workflows; Zebra recommends Bluetooth Classic or another production interface for sustained printing performance.
Change Media Easily
Zebra's OpenACCESS design gives operators a clear path for loading media and, on thermal transfer models, 74-meter ribbon. A head-up sensor, fan-fold feed slot and real-time clock support routine production tasks without complicating the compact design.
Multiple Models to Match Your Needs
Flexibility for Nearly Every Use Case
The thermal transfer ZD411 measures 9.56 inches long by 5.46 inches wide by 6.66 inches high and weighs 3.59 pounds. Its added depth accommodates the 74-meter ribbon mechanism.
The ribbon-free direct thermal model is smaller at 8.6 inches long by 4.5 inches wide by 6 inches high and weighs 2.2 pounds. These figures apply to the standard configurations; installed options and deployment accessories can change the required space.
Smart Design for Smarter Operations
Backwards Compatible with Virtually any Existing Printer
ZPL II provides Zebra label formatting and compatibility with existing Zebra printer environments, while EPL2 helps preserve legacy Eltron-format applications. EPL1 Line Mode is limited to the direct thermal 203 dpi model, and XML-enabled printing can connect XML workflows directly to barcode label output.
Unicode compliance, resident bitmap and scalable fonts, downloadable graphics and common DOS and Windows code pages support multilingual labels and branded formats. PDF Direct allows compatible PDFs to be sent to the printer without a separate label-conversion step.
Smart Design for Smarter Operations
Communication to Connect Your Way
USB 2.0 and USB Host are standard, along with Bluetooth Low Energy for setup. The host port supports local peripherals and file-transfer workflows without consuming the main computer connection.
Configurations can add factory-installed dual-radio Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.3, or a field-installable Wi-Fi 6/Bluetooth 5.3 module. Wi-Fi 5 with Bluetooth 4.2 is available factory- or field-installed, while 10/100 Ethernet and auto-sensing RS-232 serial are field-installable options; availability depends on the selected configuration.
Advanced Flexibility and Features
Moveable Sensor Means More Flexibility
The ZD411 accepts roll-fed or fan-fold media, including die-cut and continuous labels, tag stock, continuous receipt paper and wristbands. It handles media from 0.585 to 2.36 inches wide and rolls up to 5 inches in outside diameter, with adjustable gap and full-width reflective sensing for black marks, gaps and notches.
A Portable Solution to Print Almost Anywhere
The optional 2750 mAh ZD-Series battery supports cordless operation, and the ZKDU keyboard display unit enables stand-alone label entry without a full computer. These accessories are optional and should be matched to the intended interface and workflow.
Zebra DNA for Printers
Confident and Secure Printing are Yours
Zebra DNA provides applications, utilities and developer tools for getting the ZD411 running, maintaining performance and managing security. Link-OS supplies the printer operating environment, while Web View lets administrators connect to and control a ZPL-mode printer from a standard web browser.
PrintSecure helps protect connections, identify vulnerabilities and block unauthorized access. Security capabilities and licensing can vary by deployment, so organizations should match the selected tools to their network and management requirements.
Zebra DNA for Printers
Update, Troubleshoot and Monitor, All from a Single Location
Set-Get-Do commands expose configuration details to management tools, and optional ZBI 2.0 can run stand-alone applications or connect peripherals after activation. ZPL supports reusable formats, graphics, serialization, field rotation, inverted or mirrored output and host-requested status messages.
Printer Profile Manager Enterprise can manage, secure and troubleshoot networked ZD411 printers from a remote browser-based interface, reducing the need to visit each device for routine status checks and updates.
Explore Managed Print Services (MPS) with Assurance
Zebra’s Thermal Printers with Zebra DNA Make MPS Easy
Zebra DNA tools support remote printer management, fleet optimization, supplies visibility and security for managed print deployments. The available functions depend on the selected service and software licenses.
Supplies, Services and Support
Zebra Certified Supplies
Zebra Certified Supplies are designed and tested with Zebra printers to support print quality, durability and readability across narrow labels, receipts, tags and wristbands.
Backed by Zebra’s Worldwide Service and Support
Zebra OneCare plans can add support and repair coverage beyond the standard warranty, while the ZD411 itself carries a two-year standard warranty under Zebra's applicable terms.

Options and Accessories
A field-installable cutter supports continuous paper plus linered label and tag stock up to 0.0075 inch thick. The cutter is not designed to cut through the label and liner together, so the media construction must match the option's requirements.
The field-installable dispenser peels and presents labels and uses a label-taken sensor to control the next print. This option is available with the cutter on direct thermal configurations, so buyers should confirm the selected printer and media-handling combination.
A mounting adapter bracket lets the ZD411 occupy the same mounting location as an LP/TLP 2824 Plus. Optional core adapters accommodate larger 1.5-, 2- and 3-inch media cores, expanding media choices beyond the standard 0.5- and 1-inch cores.
Specifications
Operating Characteristics
The ZD411 operates from 40° to 105°F and at 10% to 90% non-condensing humidity, with a non-operating temperature range of -40° to 140°F. Its auto-ranging 100-240 VAC power supply is ENERGY STAR certified and meets Energy Efficiency Level VI.
Media and Ribbon Characteristics
Media registration and minimum label length depend on media type, width and print speed. Zebra recommends testing the exact printer, media, ribbon and option combination before production and cleaning the printhead, platen and media path regularly with the methods in the user guide.
