Eclipse Barcode Scanner

The Honeywell Eclipse has reached end of life. It has been replaced by the Honeywell Voyager 1400g.

Metrologic's MS5145 Eclipse handheld laser barcode scanner utilizes Metrologic CodeGate technology for fast, reliable single-line menu scanning at up to 72 lines per second.

With CodeGate, simply target the desired barcode, click the MS5145 scanner's button, and capture the barcode to complete data transmission. The Metrologic Eclipse features a wider scanning field than CCD barcode scanners and autodescriminates all standard barcode symbologies.

Available in USB, keyboard wedge, or serial interface models, the MS5145 Eclipse is easily integrated into existing point of sale or inventory management systems. Stand sold separately. See Accessories.

Honeywell Eclipse Reviews

POSGuys Rating:

Feb 2017: Downgraded to a 1 / 5 stars. The Eclipse is now a sub $100 using decade old technology. While laser used to be the most popular option for retail, linear imaging is much more durable, scans more aggressively, and works better in bright light. Because of this we recommend the Voyager 1400g as a superior alternative.

Previously (release): 3 / 5 Stars The Eclipse is Metrologic's budget entry-level barcode scanner. Unlike most scanners in its class, this unit is a laser scanner, not a CCD scanner, hence the price tag.
