When scanning into Lightspeed POS, the barcode flashes and then instantly disappears without adding the item to the invoice. How can I fix this?

Answer

If your barcodes are not being added to the system, there is a good chance that the data output being sent by the scanner is transmitting too fast and the software doesn't want to accept it. To fix this, you'll need to slow it down by increasing the USB Polling Interval. For example, on the LI2208 barcode scanner, you can set the polling interval to the maximum of 9 msec by scanning the configuration barcode on page 45 of the manual. This should work similarly for other barcode scanners.
