FAQ# 2351: How do I access the Barcode Label Designer within the Cash Register Express software?

In the recent 14.1001 release of Cash Register Express, Heartland has introduced the Barcode Designer into the software, allowing slight modification of the information that is displayed on a label type. In the new release of the software, the Barcode Designer is turned on when the ZD410 label printer format is selected in the Friendly Printer Setup section for Printer Type under Label option.

Next time Barcode Express is opened to print labels, there will be two options presented to either Barcode Print or open the Barcode Designer.

**Please Note** Making this change will also affect the format of the label to only print on half of the label (2.25" x 1.25"). In order for the printer to utilize the full format of this label size, the TLP/2824 Label Printer format has to be selected for the Printer Type in the Friendly Printer Setup. The downside to this selection, is that the software is left with the traditional Barcode Express, and not the newer Barcode Designer feature.
