Honeywell Dolphin 6000
Dolphin 6000 Mobile Computers
The Honeywell Dolphin 6000 has reached end of life. It has been replaced by the Honeywell Dolphin 60s.The Honeywell Dolphin 6000 mobile computer bridges the gap between fragile consumer mobile phones and heavy duty mobile computers, a fantastic and affordable choice for mobile data management. Combining the features of VOIP phones, smartphones, GPS nav systems and barcode scanners into a single solution cuts down on employee clutter and helps them better focus on the task at hand.
Similar in size to a smartphone, the Dolphin 6000 sports a 1D laser scanner for quick data acquisition and a 3 megapixel camera for document capture or shipment verification. The scanner offers up to 1 foot in scan range for standard UPC barcodes, making data acquisition a snap. If you need advanced scanning, such as 2D imaging, secondary barcode scanners can easily pair with the Dolphin 6000 via Bluetooth.
From basic inventory management within the four walls to mobile field sales, the Dolphin 6000 can do it all. GSM/GPRS/EDGE cellular connectivity is standard on all models, keeping your remote crews in contact and allowing for quick data updates. 802.11b/g WiFi ensures communication while within the four walls, fantastic for inventory management or shipping/picking applications. And with the built-in GPS radio, your employees can get to their destination quickly & efficiently.
Honeywell built the Dolphin 6000 to be fairly durable, holding up against the rigors of day-to-day retail inventory management or mobile sales scanning. An IP54 seal keeps out dust and water splashes, and a 3 foot drop resistance keeps the Dolphin 6000 safe from a slip out of pocket. Additional warranties and service plans are available, further protecting your investment.

Honeywell Dolphin 6000 Reviews
Reviewed by: Nakeem of USA
Purchased: Dolphin 6000 Mobile Computer, Black with Laser Scaner, Camera, Windows Mobile 6.5, Numeric Keypad, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, GSM Radios
Liked: absolutely nothing
Did not like: the size, the screen, the processor, a proper keyboard
Additional Info: A perfectly horrid device brought to you by the same people who made your grandparents thermostat. It is painfully slow, cheap, has no proper alpha-keyboard, has an on-screen alpha-keyboard that is torturous, it often crashes or reboots suddenly, the screen color is so bad its almost grayscale the pictures do not accurately represent the screen color at all and people hate signing on it because of its size. A good day starts when I find out its not working and dont have to use it.
POSGuys Comments: This mobile computer is what Honeywell calls a "scanphone" and is modeled off of a 10 key phone layout. If you need a full keyboard honeywell does have other models but they are a larger form factor.
