How do I get the cash drawer to open?

Answer

Manual drawer: Make sure the drawer is unlocked and then press the front panel inwards once to open.

Printer Driven: Make sure the drawer is connected to your POS receipt printer and that the printer driver is installed. There are two ways that this model of drawer opens.

The drawer opens whenever the receipt printer prints: this is an option enabled in the print driver (sometimes by default)
The drawer opens from the software: there is an option in some POS software that will send a command to the printer to open the drawer (Open drawer button).

USB: This drawer connects directly to your computer. They sometimes come with their own test utility, but they are usually opened from an 'open drawer' option available in your POS software.
