How do I create my new database in Cash Register Express?

To create your initial database in Cash Register Express, open the software, and follow these steps when prompted:

1. Select your store type; this will most likely be "retail store."
2. Check Use Advanced Configuration, then click Next.
3. Click Change Local Database Info.
4. Fill in the information as follows:
    
         Server Name: localhost
         Database Name: cresql (or the desired database name)
         Instance Name: pcamerica
         User Name: sa
         Password: pcAmer1ca
5. Click Done, then click Next. Cash Register Express will now create a new database. This may take a few minutes.
6. Select 1001: Retail Checkout w/CRE from the left pane, then select 01 from the right pane. Click Done, and then click Begin.
7. Log in using 01 as the cashier ID and admin as the password.
