Zebra LS2208 Reviews
The LS2208 features an aggressive laser-based scanner. Though there is a stigma that laser-based scanners aren’t as durable as their CCD counterparts, Symbol has gone to great lengths to eliminate this discrepancy. The LS2208’s durability and aggressive scan engine make it ideal for medium to high volume scanning environments, such as retail, industrial, and health care.
The LS2208 is one of the most popular laser scanners to copy but some of the generic competitors are so bad that you may as well hand key in all of your barcodes. A scanner is supposed to increase accuracy and speed up workflow, not slow you down.

LS2208 Barcode Scanner Review Video
Hi this is Jaimee with POSGuys.com reviewing the Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner. This is our best selling barcode scanner. Its made for mostly medium to high retail environments. It's fairly durable it has rubber around the top and edges so if you drop it from a little short distance it won't break. It scans from contact to far away, up to 17 inches. The LS2208 comes with a goose neck auto sensing stand. So once you put it in there it becomes auto sensing and it is very posable so you can bend it to wherever you want it.
For a laser scanner the LS2208 has pretty good durability. It survived multiple drops onto concrete from up to six feet up and scanned perfectly afterwards. A big selling point of this scanner is its great ergonomics. It is very light and very well balanced. It has a two finger trigger and it's very small and easy to use. For anyone looking for a retail scanner we strongly recommend the LS2208. It is our best selling scanner and is available with all the standard interfaces and it comes in black or white.
