Batch Scanning With Cipher Lab

In order to be able to transfer batched, scanned data with the default app on the Cipher Lab batch scanner, you will need to follow the below procedure for transferring the data from the scanner, onto a PC as a text file.

For this, you will need to download the Forge AG Utility from Cipher Lab. Once the application is downloaded, and installed, proceed to the following:

On the device itself:

- Utilities > Prog. Settings > Upload Interface - Cradle IR > Download Interface - Cradle IR > Transmission Speed - 115200 BPS

In Forge AG:

- Transfer > direct-link data transfer > change COM port to driver COM > Start > (ON DEVICE) Upload Data.

Data is transferred to a text file, and during the direct-link transfer, before the process is started, you can also specify the file location for saving. The text file provides a simple output of the barcode number, and qty.
