Windows 10 Mobile Sync not Working

<h2>Windows 10 Creator Update Breaks Windows Mobile Sync </h2>

Microsoft recently released an update to the Windows 10 operating system that creates problems with the Windows Mobile Device Center(downloaded here: 32or 64) and its ability to support Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices.  Connecting a Windows Mobile device will not launch Windows Mobile Device Center properly, new devices aren’t recognized and applications aren’t able to synchronize data with the desktop computer via USB or Bluetooth.

POSGuys has developed an application that will fix these sync issues by making a few configuration changes to the Windows 10 operating system.

**Additional Details**:
The Microsoft Windows 10 Creator update released with a feature that will ungroup applications that rely on the Service Host process.  Two of these services, RAPIMGR and WCESCOMM are required by the Windows Mobile Device Center to connect Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices with desktop computers.  When these two services are ungrouped, they stop working resulting in Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices failing to sync with the desktop.

In order to fix this problem, the Win Mobile Helper from POSGuys makes the following changes on the user’s computer:

1.The following registry settings are made:

REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RapiMgr /v SvcHostSplitDisable /t REG_DWORD /d 1/f

REG` ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WcesComm/v SvcHostSplitDisable /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

2.The Log On type for the RAPIMGR and WCESCOMM services are changed to the Local System account.

3.The start type is changed for the RAPIMGR and WCESCOMM services from delayed to automatic.

4.Then both services are restarted.
