Product Breakdown:

• S700: 1D Imager
  • Entry Level Scanners. These can decode your typical 1D barcodes such as UPC 128, a common barcode used in nearly all retail checkout setups. 
• S730: 1D Laser
  • Deploys a Laser instead of an Imager. Older style of scanning that is cheaper and can perform better in low-light or very bright environments. Laser scanners are less dependent on ambient light vs 2D imagers. 
• S720 & S740: 2D Imager
  • Can scan all barcode types. These scanners can scan more complex barcodes such as QR codes. They are also able to read barcodes off of cellphone and computer screens.
