TC70 Mobile Computers
The Zebra TC70 has reached end of life. It has been replaced by the Zebra TC72 / TC77.
Also known as the Symbol TC70 Mobile Computer
The Zebra TC70 mobile computer is the sleek and powerful way to manage data inside your business. A combination of familiar consumer features with industrial-grade durability, the TC70 is just as home in small office line busting as it is on the manufacturing floor.
Running Android OS 5.1 (Lollipop), the TC70 offers the familiar use and usability your workforce has with their consumer smartphones. Featuring Extensions (Mx), the TC70 can be transformed into a full-functioning enterprise solution, incorporating additional security as necessary. A powerful processor and plenty of internal storage means you can navigate even large product lists with no hit in performance.
The crisp, 4.7" display on the TC70 provides easy access to your software. A native resolution of 1280x720 is perfect for displaying high resolution graphics and video. The capacitive touchscreen on the TC70 supports, fingertip, gloved hand, and stylus operation, so your employees have a convenient way to enter data in their system.
To aid in data capture, the TC70 comes with Symbol's SE4750 2D imager built-in. This aggressive scan engine can read barcodes as small as 3 mil, much faster than trying to use a built-in camera to get a read. The scanner's near 3-foot depth of field for retail barcodes eliminates the need to strain or stretch to get a good read. For proof of delivery, video chat, and more, the TC70 is equipped with both a front and rear-facing camera.
For line-busting or other mobile POS applications, an optional snap-on magnetic card reader is available for the TC70. This reader snaps onto the base of the mobile computer and provides hardware encryption, further protecting your customers' sensitive data. Other accessories, such as headsets, trigger mounts, and holsters, improve usability for shipping, picking, and other voice-enabled processes.
Dropping a smartphone can spell doom for it. Whether it falls to the ground or into water, there are strong odds the phone is inoperable. Thankfully the TC70 is reinforced for harsh use and abuse. The rubberized over molding and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen hold up to drops of 6 feet to concrete, so a drop from a shelf or pocket won't slow it down. Internal sealing is rated at IP67 meaning no dust can harm internal components and it can be dropped into water and survive. A 1-year warranty is standard, making the Zebra TC70 a great choice for data management inside the four walls.

TC70 Mobile Computer Review Video
Hi, this is Travis from POSGuys.com. Today we're taking a look at the Symbol TC70. This is an Android-based mobile computer that is exceptional at data collecting. It features the Android OS, it's running the 4.2.2 version KitKat. It also has a 2D barcode scanner on it. This is an updated version of the MC40. The MC40 we loved for inside the four walls type of solution, it was a great data collector, it had a great scan engine and it was really snappy. It ran websites really well. The TC70 is even better. It has a very similar barcode scanner to the MC40, but it's more powerful, it has more memory on it, and it's a lot more rugged. It has an IP67 seal, which means it can get wet, dust can get on it, it's not a problem. It can take 6-foot drops to concrete. It's overall just a better computer in every way than the MC40.
The TC70 features an easy to see cross hair reticle system. Two lasers create a nice, easy to read cross hair, white LEDs illuminate it. This makes the barcode scanner able to read in low-light conditions as well as high-light conditions, such as a warehouse or outdoor settings. Bright light does not effect the scanners ability to read. The TC70 has a very powerful scan engine that allows near contact scanning out past 3 feet on a very standard barcode. The TC70 has an IP67 seal. Water and dust are not factors.
If you're in the market for a new mobile computer, definitely take a look at the Symbol TC70. This rugged Android powered device, with it's 2D barcode scanner and IP67 seal are great fit for a ton of different companies or systems. It works in a warehouse location very well, the powerful scan engine can scan high shelves, hard to reach locations, you don't have to get in close to the barcodes. It has a nice drop spec of 6 feet, it can get wet if you need to clean it or you're going to be using it outdoors. And if your company does its data collecting via website, then you can just open the browser and just start scanning directly into the browser. It makes data collecting through a browser or some kind of application very easy to do. For more information on the TC70, or to purchase, please visit us at POSGuys.com.
