Adjusting a laser barcode scanner beam width

Certain laser barcode scanners from Symbol / Zebra, formerly branded Motorola Barcode Scanners, are capable of having the width of their laser beam shortened or widened to make scanning small or clustered barcodes much easier. In order to change your beam width you must be using a laser barcode scanner from Symbol/Zebra/Motorola, like the LS2208 Retail Scanner, LS4208 Rasterizing Retail Scanner, or LS3008 Light Industrial Scanner.
