<h2>Cleaning your POS System</h2>

Basic overview on cleaning your point of sale system.  Equipment that has an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of X4 or higher can safely be directly sprayed with a liquid cleaner.  Equipment with a rating lower than that should not be directly sprayed.

**Touch Screen Monitor**
Check the IP rating of your monitor or all in one computer, in many cases the screen has an IP rating that allows direct spraying of a cleaning agent.  The sides and back of the AIO-PC may not be sealed and extra precaution should be used to not get liquid into the insides of the PC.  A paper towel that has been sprayed with cleaner can be used instead.

**Cash Drawer**
The outsides can be sprayed and wiped down, powder coat finishes are a bit rough in texture and may cause the rag or towel to leave a slight residue.  The money til can be removed from the drawer and cleaned thoroughly.

**Receipt Printer**
Most printers don't have an IP rating and should be cleaned with a wet rag rather than sprayed directly.

**Barcode Scanner**
Many scanners have an IP rating ones with an X4 or above can be sprayed directly.  Medical grade/Health Care designed scanners have special plastics that are anti-microbial which allow for frequently cleanings and more industrial cleaners.
