Peelers And Dispensers, The Easy Life

Occasionally we get questions that aren&rsquo;t related to equipment that customers already own, but rather equipment that customers have looked at online, and wondered what purpose it serves. We received a great question from a customer who asked, &ldquo;What is a peeler, or a dispenser on a printer?&rdquo; Travis quickly grabbed a video camera and posted up an answer on YouTube:

Hi, this is Travis with POSGuys.com. We're doing another segment of Ask POSGuys. Got a great question from the customer, they asked, "What is a peeler, or a dispenser on a printer?" A lot of people think of it as a cup or something that the labels dispense into. A dispenser is a peeler, and it basically works, when you go to print, instead of having all the labels just shoot out on one long, continuous sheet, it presents them one at a time. So I'll print three labels here, and as each label prints, you take it off, click the button, and it'll dispense one-at-a-time. So it's supposed to make it easier if you're doing shipping, or labelling products. That way you can take one label off the printer at a time, and not have to deal with a whole long roll of labels. So it's just a convenience factor. Not something that's required, but a nice upgrade if you're gonna be doing that type of thing.
