Introducing the first pocket/keychain barcode scanner by Honeywell.  Motorola/Symbol have had small battery operated barcode scanners for quite some time, but Honeywell is finally getting into the game with their own keychain scanner which they are calling a pocket scanner.

Details are still coming out but for now what we can tell you as of 2/18/15 is that it will have bluetooth, it scan 1D and 2D barcodes, it can scan off of screens like cell phones, a 750 mAh Li-ion battery capable of 2,250 scans per charge and 12 hour use time, and an IP42 environmental sealing.  (details may change)

Size wise it's 4.7inches long, 1.9" wide, and .9 inches deep.  Weighing in at 3.5 oz.

This device is really meant to pair with a tablet, smart phone, or laptop as from what we can tell it has no batch capabilities, meaning you can't scan stuff and then plug it into the computer and download it, all scanning must be sent to the host device as real time keyboard entry.

The battery is also replaceable so if your doing shift changes you can have a separate battery ready to go and use the same device.
