## Dinerware POS Software (version 3.4) Hardware Compatibility List

**Screen:** 1024x768 screen resolution

###For All-in-one touch screens these are the minimum specifications.

**Server Computer (Main station that has database):**

1-3 stations running with the server, minimum- 2.4 GHz Dual Core CPU, 2GB of Ram or better

4-7 stations running with the server, minimum - Intel i3, i5, or i7 3.0 GHz, 4GB of Ram or better

*8+ stations running with server, minimum - 3.2 GHz Quad Core XEON CPU, 8GB of Ram or better

*Installations of 8 or more terminals require a separate, dedicated Brain machine running the full standard edition of SQL Server (instead of SQL Server Express). Contact Dineware Support for further recommendations or detailed assistance.

**Workstation Computer (terminals connected on same network as server computer):**
1 or more stations connected to Server, minium - 2.0 GHz Dual Core Atom CPU, 2GB of RAM

**Notes:**

Dinerware requires Null Modem cables to support serial connections(DB-9 to DB-25 or DB-9 to DB-9). Please consult your printer’s documentation.

Cash drawers are printer-controlled with Epson-emulated or Epson-compatible cables, but printer-driven RJ45 or RJ11 interfaces are also compatible. Dual cash drawer operations require an splitter cable. Please consult your cash drawer manufacturer.

Pole displays must be serial (DB-9) based; if pole display include an external power adapter, the terminal to which it is connected needs a powered serial port option (This may be found in the system BIOS). Please consult your terminal manufacturer.

You can use CAT5e for an extended serial connection by using RJ45 adapters.
