My Epson U220 doesn’t work with my Aloha system. What could be going on?
By: POSGuys Support - 8/4/2017
With the Aloha POS system, it is recommended by the manufacturer of the software to use an RS-232 interface (serial) on the TM-U220B impact printer. If you have an Ethernet or USB enabled U220, you should be able to swap out the interface cards with your old printer, or you may order a new printer. Once you have the serial interface installed (if it didn’t already come with it), plug in the serial-to-Ethernet adapter on the back of the device. One additional step that you may need to follow, is to modify the DIP switches on the bottom of the printer. This can be done by performing the followi...

How do I put my Star Micronics TSP100 into ESC/POS (Epson Emulation) mode? Some specific softwares require that the printer communicates in ESC/POS mode, which is an Epson printer language that enhances and streamlines printing. However, that does not necessarily mean that an Epson printer will be needed. Step 1: Recall Defaults (optional) - In some cases the case conversion will not work until defaults are recalled. Step 2: Scan the barcode for the type of conversion you want to do, or select "No Case...
