Honeywell EZ-DL not working

If you purchased a Honeywell Barcode Scanner with the EZ-DL drivers license parsing plug-in like the Xenon 1902 and find that it all of a sudden stops working after scanning the recall defaults barcode then don't worry the scanner still has the plugin, you just need to scan a barcode to tell your scanner that the EZ-DL plug-in should be used. Compatibility Problems - Systems

Some of the larger adversaries of hardware compatibility are proprietary systems and systems with limited support for interface types. The problem with proprietary systems is that only the approved hardware will work and is usually sold by the same manufacturer. Then you have systems with limited support for difference interfaces. LS2208 Interface Issues: RS232

I ran into an interesting issue and solution today. A customer accidentally scanned a OPOS/JPOS configuration instead of the Standard RS232 configurations for their serial scanner. That may sound a little confusing, but what it basically means is that it was set to communicate in a way that wasn't possible with the cable it had. The user wasn't even able to attempt scanning in this situation, the device just acted like it wasn't getting power. Aldelo & Software Glitches

One of the unusual things about Aldelo for Restaurants is a little glitch that prevents some changes to the settings in the back office form being applied. The solution for this issue is to enter the Store Settings section in the back office and click on the Extra Settings button on the Other Options tab.
