Some things I will be going over is Serializing items, PLU's, SKU's, and what kind of tags I found most useful when I worked in a jewelry store. Some of the best ways to keep track of your inventory, whether it is with jewelry or another type of merchandise, is to use serial numbers. With diamonds, they usually only laser engrave a serial number on nicer quality and ...

By: KC - 10/17/2014

"Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase." (Wikipedia). Whether it is before the sale of an item, get to know your customer. Damaged or worn out barcodes
By: KC - 9/12/2014

We have all been in line when the cashier has a damaged or faded barcode they are trying to scan. We all cringe when we see them reach for the phone so they can get someone to come to their register so they can go grab another one off the shelf with a better barcode. Finally the barcode is either read, typed in manually or the other associate brings back the item with a better barcode. 2 of the big problems created by poor quality or damaged barcodes are loss of time and potential for manual typing errors. Because life is so fast paced for us now, even typing in one item can seem like seconds...
